Do you have a Twitter account? Do you like cute bunnies? Then follow EARS on Twitter @AdoptRabbits!
To celebrate Easter, we decided to feature a bunch of the bunnies at our shelter for bunny of the week! Please remember that rabbits are a 10-12 year commitment and should never be given as a gift. If you think you are ready for the commitment of a rabbit, we have open adoption hours on Wednesdays from 4-7 pm, and we would be happy to teach you all about bunnies! Some other good resources are the House Rabbit Society and this video series on Howcast. And always remember to ADOPT, not shop!
Hoppy Easter from the buns and all of us at EARS!
Meet Annabelle– the bunny of the week!
Annabelle is a Dutch/Rex mix (her sisters are Arielle and Danielle). All three were surrendered to the shelter with their mother Belle (adopted). She will be a year old in May! Dutch bunnies are typically playful, outgoing, and active- Annabelle is no exception.
Annabelle is an energetic girl with a big attitude and a lot of spunk. She binkies like crazy when she gets out to play. She needs a home that can give her a lot of space to run around and a family that will provide love and understanding. Most of all, she needs a best friend, and she has been waiting patiently for one to come along. Come to the shelter to meet Annabelle and consider giving her the forever home she deserves.
Meet Kenway, the bunny of the week!
Kenway was rescued in Virginia. He and his brother Twitchell (adopted) were being housed outside with 6 other boys. The rescue that took them in was overcrowded, so they asked EARS to take them in. Bunnies of the same sex will usually fight when kept together, especially if they are not properly bonded, and Kenway came to us with bite wounds on his head and ears. His wounds have since healed and he is ready for a good home.
Kenway is a sweet guy with lop ears. He gets so excited when he gets out to run around and does lots of binkies! He would love a forever home that gives him a lot of space to do his thing. Kenway also loves to stretch out and relax. He has a cardboard box in his crate that he likes chew holes through and then lie in. He enjoys head scratches and is very cuddly.
Kenway is an adorable boy who is very sweet and loving. He is tired of being at the shelter and would love a forever home of his very own. Come to the shelter to meet Kenway! If you decide to take him home, you can also have his plush puppy look-a-like!
