The votes are in and we have our winners! Thank you to everyone who participated!
Pharaoh is the winner! It’s not surprising, considering that fantastic, crazy hair! He is truly an adorable bunny (and one of the most friendly). He really loves to be cuddled and pet- he begs for attention when you walk by him. It’s amazing that he hasn’t been adopted yet! Who wouldn’t want to take this little man home?!
There’s no denying Harriet is a gorgeous bunny. Between her pretty white/grey mane and lightning bolt pattern on her forehead she is already striking, but her beautiful blue eyes seal the deal! She’s got the looks, so all she needs now is her forever home.
Paige is the winner! You would think that an English Lop (known for their big ears) would easily win, but she only won by a single vote, beating Oreo for the title. Paige definitely has some impressive ears- they’re giant (like she is), and they’re a lot of fun to play with! Paige is a sweet and fun girl who loves to be pet and cuddled, but also loves to run around and explore. She’s basically a puppy!
Cutest Bonded Pair
Arielle & Danielle
Arielle and Danielle are the clear winners (of course they are, look at those faces)! These adorable sisters are some of the most fun, entertaining, and friendly rabbits you will ever meet. They love attention, they love to be held, they love to cuddle (with people and each other), they love to run around, they love to binky, and they pretty much just love life! These girls belong in a forever home where they can enjoy life to the fullest!
The cutest lop at EARS is Hilda! This may come as a surprise to some because Hilda is a shy bunny, so she is sometimes overlooked. She really makes you earn her trust, but if you are patient (and give her lots of food), she is a total sweetheart! Just look at that adorable pose she struck for the camera!
Cutest Small Bunny
Mulan is the winner! Mulan is one of the smallest bunnies we have at EARS, and she is absolutely adorable! The picture does not do justice to how tiny she actually is. Not only is she small, but she’s also incredibly friendly and cuddly! She always begs for attention when you walk by, sticking her nose through the bars of her crate for head scratches. This little girl won’t be at the shelter for much longer, someone is bound to fall in love with her any day now!
Cutest Big Bunny
Charlie is the winner, but he is no longer a shelter bunny! He was adopted this past week and is now living happily in his forever home! Charlie was a 2x Craigslist bunny- his previous owner originally got him off of Craigslist, and was trying to rehome him on Craigslist before she was contacted by an EARS volunteer. Craigslist is a dangerous way to rehome a rabbit (or any pet). Some people will act like they intend to give the rabbit a good home, but then will use the rabbit to feed their snake or even eat the rabbit themselves (our adoption process ensures our rabbits do not go to people like this)! Luckily for Charlie, his previous owner was wary about giving him to a stranger and decided instead to surrender him to EARS. Now he has a wonderful and loving home!
Gus is the most unique rabbit at EARS! He is mostly white with grey smudges on his ears and nose and brown on his back. Gus is very sweet and playful. He does goofy binkies when he gets out to stretch his legs! Gus is truly one of a kind, and the good news is- he’s adoptable!
This category was hotly contested, as all six bunnies on the list are very deserving of the title. In the end, it was a three-way tie!
Oreo (also called Oreo kisses), is a loveable, cuddly, fluffy, soft bunny who just wants somebody to love! This handsome boy has been at the shelter for a really long time and we don’t understand why. He’s cute, he’s friendly, he’s outgoing- he’s the whole package! It’s heartbreaking to see him spending so much of his life at our shelter; he deserves a home and someone who will love him as much as we do!
Julius is an awesome little guy. He has so much personality! All he wants to do is play and binky, and be cuddled and pet. He begs for attention constantly- his adorable pouty face is difficult to resist! He has a fluffy white belly and tail, just like a wild bunny. He is a terrific bunny and will make a wonderful companion. The only warning is that he’s so cute, you won’t be able to say no to him!
Pharaoh wins again! He’s got awesome hair and is super cuddly! Now that he’s a double award-winning bunny, who would like to adopt him? As soon as you hold him and he starts to purr, you won’t be able to stop yourself from taking him home with you!
Thanks to everyone who participated! Hopefully this was a fun way to get to know some of the adoptable bunnies we have at EARS. If you think you may be interested in adopting and you have questions, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to meet the bunnies, we have open adoption hours at the Bunny Bungalow (38th Street) on Wednesdays from 4-7 pm, or you can make an appointment to visit at another time by calling Linda at 814-881-7243.
